John Walli Iii

Mr. John “Jack” Walli, of Logan, OH, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the age of 86. Jack was born to parents John (Eero) and Charlotte Walli (née Hughes), on August 14, 1931 in Detroit, MI.

He grew up a single child and attended Grosse Ile High School. He went on to attend Bowling Green State University, graduating with a degree in Business Administration in 1953. He served two (2) years in the Army, spending time at Fort Carson in Colorado. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1955.

He immediately began employment at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Akron, OH, where he worked for over 35 years. Jack married Jacqueline Houston Davis on November 13, 1965, and soon thereafter transferred to the Logan, OH Goodyear facility. While there, the couple had two (2) children, Eric and Elizabeth (Beth). In retirement, Jack taught as a substitute teacher. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed all sports, and often served as a coach and organizer for adult and youth leagues alike.

Jack is survived by his son, Eric Walli (Jessica Khouzam); their sons, Nicolas Houston, Alexandre (Alecco) Khouzam, and Elias Saba; his daughter, Elizabeth (Beth) Walli; her son Gaige Davis Perciful. He is preceded in death by his parents, John (Eero) and Charlotte Walli.

Friends and family are welcome at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St. in Logan, Ohio, on Friday, November 3, from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, followed by a service to be held 1:00PM. Rev. Charles Fidler officiating.

Per Jack’s wishes, his remains will be scattered by the family in the Outer Banks, a favorite family vacation destination. The family is grateful for condolences and flowers, and requests donations be made to Hospice of Central Ohio in his memory.
