John Edward Wollett

John Edward Wollett, 54, of The Plains, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus.  He was born August 19, 1968, in Logan, the son of Joan (Hallett) Johnson and the late Rex Lee Wollett.

John attended the Church of the Epiphany in Nelsonville. A special thank you to Hospice Pavilion Care at Grant Medical Center and Reverend Jed Dearing, Associate Pastor of Trinity Episcopal Church in Columbus.

In addition to his mother, John is survived by his sisters, Shawna (Tom) Steele and Kristie Appleman; stepmother, Mable Wollett, special niece, Sydney Steele; aunt, Judi Whitmore; special cousin, Jeremy Whitmore; dog, Ace; special friend, Deacon Bill Bales; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Church of the Epiphany, 193 Jefferson St., Nelsonville.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
