Joseph David

July 3, 1928 — November 25, 2020

Joseph David, 92, of Reynoldsburg, formerly of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Cherry Blossom Senior Living in Columbus.  He was born July 3, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Eldon and Augusta Woellenweber David Carpenter.

Joseph retired from Ohio Bell and was a Charter Member and the first President of The Toledo Weak Signals.  He received numerous awards, including the National Service District Award in appreciation for his contribution to the sport of model aviation over they years from The Academy of Model Aeronautics.

He is survived by his sons, William J. (Brigitte) David of Bowling Green, Ohio and John E. David of New Carlisle, Ohio; daughters, Jean L. Jenkins of Mesa, Arizona and Donna S. (Tom H. Freudenheim) David of New York City, New York; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and his previous wife, Sue L. Fisher David of New Carlisle, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his significant other, Mary Lou White and sister, Mary Breier.

Private graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville.  Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Joseph David to Capital City Hospice, 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive, Suite 170, Columbus, Ohio 43231.
