Juanita Rose Johnson

February 13, 1940 — June 8, 2022

Juanita Rose Johnson, 82, of Ray, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at her home.  She was born February 13, 1940, in Bobtown, Kentucky, the daughter of the late, Chester and Mary (Hargis) Penix.  She was the widow of the late, Robert E. Johnson Sr.

Juanita is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Paul “Pete”) Campbell of Ray; sons, Thomas Johnson of Ray and Kelly Johnson of Allensville; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

A special thank you to Juanita’s granddaughters, Erica Danielle Wampler, Kourtney Nicole Campbell, and Jamie Copas, who helped take care of her.

In addition to her husband and parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her son, Robert E. Johnson Jr.; daughter-in-law, Tammy Johnson; sisters, Ruby, Pearl, and Jane; and brother, Junior.

Family and friends may visit Tuesday, June 14, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.  A time of remembrance will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.  Cremation will follow the services.
