June Marie Heffken

June Marie Heffken, 92, of Glouster, passed away Saturday January 26, 2019 at Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville.  She was born July 18, 1926 in Glouster, Ohio, daughter of the late Frederick “Fritz” and Bertha Dalton Heffken.

She was a retired secretary and teller for the Athens National Bank for many years, and was a member of Taylor Ridge Church of Christ, Hocking Valley Parish where she played the piano during services.  She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed.

June is survived by nieces and nephews, Don (Barbara) Heffken of Tony, Alabama, Cynthia (Jim) Walters of Zanesville, Paul (Rhetta) Lemoine of Albany, Oregon, Timothy Lemoine of Glouster and Jayne (Stan) Boyd of Athens, Alabama; sister in law, Margaret Heffken of Zanesville.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Jeanne Lemoine and brother, William Heffken.

It was June’s wish to be cremated.  Graveside service and inurnment will be held at a later date at Taylor Ridge Cemetery, Glouster.  Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster.
