Kathryn “Kate” S. Taylor, 76, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born February 12, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late Willis and Evelyn Wolfe Helber. Kate is survived by her husband, Donald W. Taylor Jr.
She retired as the Chief Deputy Clerk from the Fairfield County Clerk of Courts and was a member of the Sixth Avenue United Methodist Church in Lancaster, the Venus Chapter #76 O.E.S., the Olivedale Senior Center and the Crafters Club in Lancaster. Kate loved playing cards and spending quality time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Donald W. (Beth) Taylor III of Columbus; granddaughter, Audrey Taylor of Columbus; sisters, Pamela (Gary) McNichols; sister-in-law, Gayle Helber; brother-in-law, Ed Darnell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, John and Roseann Warden; aunt, Helen Wilson and several nieces and nephews and a host of great friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill and George Ed Helber and sister, Helen Darnell.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2021, in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Rick Jones officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Kathryn “Kate” Taylor to the Sixth Avenue United Methodist Church, 1004 W. Sixth Ave., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
