Larry R. Richards

Larry R. Richards, 76, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at the Pickering House in Lancaster.  He was born May 19, 1944, in Ross County, Ohio, son of the late Daniel W. and Ida Brewster Richards.  Larry was married to Deborah Rowland Richards, who survives.

He retired from Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan in 2009 and was a Vietnam War Veteran of the United States Air Force.

Larry is survived by his sons, Mark A. (Cindy) Holland of Mt. Sterling, Michael R. Richards of Mansfield, Adam D. (Rebecca) Richards of Mansfield and Jeremiah (Sheena) Richards of Ft. Eustis, Virginia; daughters, Lisa Richards-Young of Chillicothe, and Theresa Richards of Chillicothe; eight grandchildren and sister, Bea London of Chillicothe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several siblings.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Locust Grove Church, Vinton County, with Pastor Bill Barnett officiating.  Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299.  Friends may call at Locust Grove Church on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
