Lawrence “Larry” W. Donahoe, 70, of Hamden, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 15, 1949 in McArthur, son of the late Lawrence and Mary Thompson Donahoe. Larry was married to Glenna Harper Donahoe, who survives.
Larry was a retired coal miner, an Air Force Veteran and a member of Community of Christ Church in McArthur.
He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Andrews of Hamden and Missy (Tim) Hale of McArthur; grandchildren, Kyra Horn, Megan (Josh) Andrews-Coleman, Rylee Grabans, Jindra, Faith and Autumn Hale; great grandchildren, Patience, Allysa and Zane; siblings, Terry (Linda) Donahoe of McArthur; Peggy (Rankin) Barnes of High Point, North Carolina, Rebecca (Roland) Penkwitz of Greenville, Ohio, James (Kay) Donahoe of Charlotte, North Carolina and Keith Donahoe of Logan; sister-in-law, Michelle Donahoe of Albany and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Steve Andrews and brother, Joseph Donahoe.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2019 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Jim Cummings officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Lawrence W. Donahoe to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
