Leonard Lee "Beans" Johnson

Leonard Lee “Beans” Johnson, 85, of Nelsonville, passed away Saturday March 14, 2020 at Arcadia Valley Nursing Home in Coolville.  He was born July 14, 1934 in Athens County, Ohio, son of the late Lawrence and Gertrude Wade Johnson.

Beans was retired from the Railroad, and was also a Coal Miner.  Member of VFW #3467, Nelsonville.

He is survived by a son, Christopher Johnson of Nelsonville; daughters Stephanie, Sherry and Sonya; sister Lavone Williams of Tennessee; former wife, Nancy Newman of Nelsonville.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Johnson.

It was the wish of Beans to be cremated, and no services will be observed.  Arrangements are by the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
