Lester E. "Edward" St. Clair

Lester E. “Edward” St. Clair, 103, of Logan, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at The Carlin House in Logan.  He was born July 13, 1913 in Hocking County, son of the late Frank and Lulu Brown St. Clair.  Eddie was married for 72 years to the late Opal Alltop St. Clair.

He was a retired school bus driver and farmer.  Eddie was a lifelong member of Webbs Chapel United Methodist Church and was also a 50 year member of Gideon’s International.  He was a founding investor of the Citizens Bank of Logan, was a former board member of ASC, the Hocking Valley Community Hospital and was also on the board of the Logan Christian Academy.

Eddie is survived by his daughters, Marilyn (Keith) Richey of Centerville and Mary (Mike) Glenn of Northville, Michigan; grandchildren, Chris (Larry) Hurtubise, Denise (Randy) Griffith, Ed (Sherry) Richey, Scott Smith, Jaime (Ben) Cole and Jeffrey Glenn; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Joan (Rev. Jack) Glick; son-in-law, Chuck Smith of Logan and brother-in-law, Pat (Betty) Rose.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Marty Smith; brothers, Harley, Clinton and Robert St. Clair and sisters, Ruth and Esther St. Clair, Dorothy Ewers, Helen Weller and Wilma Rose.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, June 5, 2017 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Clarence Thompson and Pastor Randy Griffith officiating.  Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan.  Friends may call on Sunday, from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Monday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
