Lewis “Butch” G. Greenwood, 77, of Logan, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born December 6, 1942, in Dennison, Ohio, son of the late Alva Edgar and Chestina Lawer Greenwood Sr. Butch was married to the late Sharon Briggs Greenwood.
He was a former coal miner and retired from Selkirk Metalbestos in Logan. Butch was United States Navy Veteran, a life member of the Uhrichsville Eagles, a member of the New Lexington Eagles and he was also a member of the American Legion in Junction City.
Butch is survived by his daughters, Connie (Bill) Betts of Uhrichsville, Ohio, Shelly (Kevin) Renicker of Urichsville, Tammy (James) Markwell of Bowerston, Ohio, Beth McIntyre of Dennison, Ohio and Heather (Rick) Howard of Logan; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Shirley) Greenwood and Larry (Margie) Greenwood and sisters, Eleanor Malterer, Mary Lou Shaw, Melva (Austin) Beckley, Winifred Gibbens and Linda Froman.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his great grandson, Conner Reese and brothers, Alva Edgar Jr., Frank b., Jackie Lee, Dale Richard and Earl Delano Greenwood.
Private services will be held. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
