Lilah Ann Vaughn

Lilah Ann Vaughn, 19 months, of Amanda, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus. Lilah was born on July 12, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Eric David and Brynne Danielle (Hahn) Vaughn.

It’s never easy to say goodbye, but it’s especially hard when you weren’t given near enough time. Lilah was a sassy and adventurous girl who deserved so much more than what this world was able to give her. Some of her favorite things were hiking, lake days, spending time with her two big sisters and having dance parties in the living room. In fact, she loved hiking so much that when Brynne would stop to take a breath, Lilah would kick her in the sides to tell her to keep moving. Her sass always kept everyone on their toes. In the hospital, she would close her eyes and play opossum when the staff came into her room in an attempt to prevent any treatments. Then, when they worked with her, she would sign “all done” to tell them to leave her alone.

Even as a toddler, Lilah made a difference in many people’s lives and she was able to create countless memories with her family. They made the most of every day and didn’t take a second of their time together for granted. Eric and Brynne were made to be Lilah’s parents and Evie and Nora, her sisters.

The outreach from so many people in the community has touched her family in a way that words cannot describe, they are so grateful for all of the love and support they’ve gotten throughout Lilah’s journey.

In addition to her parents, Lilah is survived by her sisters, Evelyn and Lenora Vaughn; grandparents, David and Deborah Vaughn and Jeffrey and Stephanie Hahn; aunts and uncles, Tyler (Jessica) Vaughn, Alyssa (Jon) Hunt, Kristina (Todd) Wyrick, and Brittani (Finn) Hahn.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
