Lillian Faye Carter

Lillian Faye Carter, “Mama” to many, 59, of Nelsonville, passed away Monday July 15, 2019 at her residence and surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 4, 1959 in Laurel, Mississippi, daughter of Shirley James Bourliea of Bay Springs, Mississippi and the late William Miller.  She was married to Ricky Dale Carter, for 42 years, who survives.

Along with her husband and mother, Faye is survived by daughters, Melissa (Anthony) Pippin of Logan, Lisa (Pat Pidock) Carter, Jamie Carter, Kimberly Carter, Brandie Carter and Savannah Carter all of Nelsonville; sons, Bradley Carter and Andrew Carter both of Nelsonville and Randy Carter of Bay Springs, Mississippi; 20 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; mother in law, Linda (Carl) Bruner of Stanford, Kentucky; brothers, Harvey James and Paul Bourliea both of Bay Springs, Mississippi; sisters, Rebecca Bourliea of Bay Springs, Mississippi and Susan Parker of Mississippi; numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her father, Faye was preceded in death by her “Dad”, Elmer Carter; daughter, Crystal Faye Carter; granddaughters, Hayley Faye Pidock and Stephon Carter.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday July 17, 2019 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.  Chaplain Kermit Welty officiating.  Interment wil be in Asbury Cemetery, Hocking County.  Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
