Linda L. Jordan, 75, of Logan, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 1, 2023, at OSU East Hospital, Columbus. She was surrounded by loved ones, listening to her favorite music. She was born March 13, 1948, in Logan, the daughter of the late Charles Edward Staten and June (Higgins) Staten. She was the widow of the late John Robert Jordan Sr.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Steve) Castle of Logan and Crystal (William David) Jordan Nye of Logan; son, John Robert (Jenny) Jordan Jr. of Logan; grandchildren, Jordan (Riley) Castle, Cameron Jordan, Colten (Carmen Shuttleworth) Castle, Blake (Olivia Miller) Jordan, Easton Castle, Jayce Jordan, Braxston Nye, Brigzden Nye, Destiany Nye, Jordi (Jeff) Nye Kohler, and Ethan (Emily) Nye; great grandchildren, Layla Castle, Marley Nye, Jennilynn Street, and soon to arrive, Crue Castle; brother, Charles Roger (Cheryll) Staten; brother-in- law, Robert W. Hanna III, several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins; many friends of her children and grandchildren, special caregiver, Christy West, and long time friend Sheila Wilson.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, William (Mary Jane) Staten and Robert Staten; her husband’s parents, Roy and Lois Jordan; sister-in-law, Ann Elizabeth Jordan Hanna; and niece, Sherri Staten.
Linda loved her family and was an avid sports fan! She supported any sport or activity her children or grandchildren participated in; 4-H, football, cheerleading, golf, soccer, bowling, basketball, baseball, wrestling, motocross and archery. She loved cheering on Chieftain Nation; especially listening to Friday Night Football on SAM-M. Rooting for her Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals and Reds. She enjoyed listening to music, playing golf, watching The Price is Right, Dancing with the Stars, Big Brother and perusing Facebook.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Pastor Steve Hubbard officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge. Family and friends may visit from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her name to the Hocking Valley Community Hospital Foundation, PO Box 966, 601 SR 664 North, Logan, Ohio 43138.
