Lloyd A. Gearing

Lloyd A. Gearing, 87, of Londonderry, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Heartland of Chillicothe Nursing Home in Chillicothe.  He was born October 4, 1933, in Londonderry, Ohio, on Gearing Ridge, son of the late Benjamin and Eunice Graves Gearing.

He retired from Mead Manufacturing in Chillicothe after 50 years of service.  Lloyd was a member of Pleasant Valley Trinity Church in Londonderry; the Logan Elm Lodge #624 F&AM in Kingston and he was a member of the Eastern Star.

Lloyd is survived by his son, John (Valerie) Gearing of Wellston; daughter, Christa Lambert of Londonderry; daughter-in-law, Peggy Gearing of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Andy, Ben, Becky, Alicia, Alishia, Angel, Matt, Jill and Jodi; several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; brothers, Ron (Marge) Gearing of Ray and Roger (Nancy) Gearing of Londonderry; sisters, Donna Jean (Royce) Scheeler of Londonderry and Cheryl (Steve) Davidson of Londonderry; brother-in-law, Frank Frizzell of Tarlton and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Vina Salyer Gearing; his second wife, Loueda Straziuso-Gearing; sons, Joel Gearing and Randy Gearing; son-in-law, Allen Lambert and sister, Peggy Frizzell.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.  Interment will be in Londonderry Cemetery, Londonderry.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. where a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m.
