Mable R. Whitmore

Mable Roberta Whitmore, 77, of Logan, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022, at her home. She was born August 11, 1945, in Morgan County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Brawley) Thompson. She was the widow of the late Howard J. Whitmore.

Mable was retired from from Goodyear in Logan. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching college football, especially Ohio State Football.

Mable is survived by her sons, Brad Whitmore of Cuyahoga Falls and Lewis (Shawn) Whitmore of Logan; grandchildren, Lewis Whitmore Jr., Tiffani Whitmore, Lindsay Whitmore, and MacKenzie Whitmore; brother, Walter (Patty) Thompson of Corning; sister; Wanda Wilson of Nelsonville; mother of Tiffani and Lindsay, Beth LoCascio; and many nieces and nephews.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, James Whitmore; brothers, Freddie Thompson, Harold Thompson, Jim Thompson, Bob Thompson, and Frank Thompson; and sisters, Bonnie Canter, Mary George, Florence Braglin, and Ginger Hamilton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, October 23, 2022, in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Friends may visit from 5 to 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Sunday. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, October 24, 2022, in Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville.
