Mahalia Louise Mullins

Mahalia Louise Mullins, 64, of McArthur, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at her residence.  She was born August 24, 1952 in Wayne, West Virginia, daughter of the late Joseph and Rachel Marcum Brewer.

Mahalia was a retired nurse and attended Vinton Chapel Church.

She is survived by her companion of 20 years, Stephen Kibbey; sons, Melvin (Crystal) Mullins of Creola, Robert (Heidi) Mullins of Athens, Dan Mullins of Logan and Shawn Mullins of Creola; grandchildren, Crissy (Nick) Rowe, Joseph “Tyler” Mullins, Robert “Hunter” Mullins, “Laken” Jo Mullins, Raylynn Mullins, Gracia Mullins, Kaleb Mullins and Eli Mullins; great grandson, Alexander Scott Rowe; her brothers and sisters, Joe (Sue) Brewer of Grafton, Ohio, Shelby Cain of Athens, Marvin Brewer of Columbus, Velvea Brewer of West Virginia, Hazel Brewer of West Virginia and Betty Jane Brewer of West Virginia and a sister-in-law, Roxie Brewer of Columbus.

Mahalia was preceded in death by her parents along with her sister, Freda Johnson and brothers, Bill Brewer, Warren H. Brewer and Harrold Brewer.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, May 5, 2017 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating.  Interment will be in Creola Cemetery, Creola.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m.
