Marilyn Sue (Daubenmier) Harris

October 31, 1937 — January 14, 2019

Marilyn Sue (Daubenmier) Harris, of Logan, passed away at the age of 81 on January 14, 2019 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Hugh and Iva Inboden Daubenmier.  Marilyn was born in Marion Township on October 31, 1937.

She graduated from Logan High School in 1955 and then worked at Stoltz’s, Sears and Elberfelds and then retired from Logan Animal Clinic in 2006.  Marilyn was an active member of New Hope United Methodist Church.  In 1963 she married Roger D. Harris, who survives and just celebrated their 55 th wedding anniversary on December 28, 2018.

In addition to her husband Roger, Marilyn is survived by her children, David (Carolyn) Harris of Logan, Melanie (Medhat) Farag of Columbus and Deborah (Tim Dexter) Harris of Logan; sisters, Carol Hartman of Kansas, Janet Harris of Logan and Valerie Daubenmier, DVM of Logan; grandchildren, Kendra (Matt) Mathias, Kari (Barry) Buehler, Andrew (Sami) Harris, Kourtney (Jared) Walton, Krista (Matt) Vonderbrink, Jessica Harris and friend, Janelle Jones; Kaylee (Tony) Wheeler, Jill (Cameron Tackett) Olejniczak, Hanah and Emily Olejniczak; sixteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her great grandson, Wyatt Walton and brother-in-law, Don Snyder.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, January 18, 2019 at the New Hope United Methodist Church, 9825 Gore Church Rd., Logan, with Pastor Steve Hubbard and Pastor Brandon Hughes officiating.  Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan.  Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 and Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, January 18, 2019 one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Marilyn Sue Harris to FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
