Marilyn Sue Petry

Marilyn Sue Petry, 83, of Wellston, formerly of Vinton County, passed away Friday June 22, 2018 at Jenkins Nursing Home in Wellston.  She was born April 30, 1935 in Vinton County, Ohio, daughter of the late Floyd and Edith Eberts Trainer.  She was married to the late Wendell “Pete” Petry.

She was a bookkeeper and clerk for the City of Wellston.  She was greatly loved by her family and will be sadly missed.

Marilyn is survived by a son, Brian (Angela) Newvahner of Albany; granddaughters, Holly Newvahner and Megan Newvahner both of Albany; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by sisters, Doris Moore, Martha Andrews and Connie Kellough; brothers, Clair, Kenneth, David and Ray “Buddy” Trainer.

A Remembrance Tribute with Gathering will be held 6 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.  Inurnment will be in Elk Cemetery at a later date.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
