Mark Douglas “Matty” Huntley, 60, of McArthur, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born December 1, 1957 in Chillicothe, son of Ernestine Peters Huntley of McArthur and the late Robert V. Huntley.
Mark formerly worked as a farmer for Renick Farm in South Bloomfield, was a grounds keeper at the Pickaway County Fairgrounds and was a member of the McArthur Eagles.
He is survived by his son, Nathan (Jenny Scott) Huntley of Amanda; daughter, April (Shawn Stotridge) Huntley of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Brookelyn, Shawna, Shawn, Cruzz, Lydia, Luke and Kayden; sister, Cynthia (Rick) Brooks of McArthur; niece, Brandy (Josh) Casto and nephew, Jordan Brooks.
In addition to his father, Mark was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Huntley; brother, John Robert Huntley and niece, Danielle Brooks.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Danny Minton officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service where an Eagles service will be held at 11 a.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Mark Huntley to the Danielle Nadine Brooks Scholarship Fund. Please make checks made payable to the Vinton County Educational Fund and mail it to the Vinton County District Office, 307 W. High St., McArthur, Ohio 45651.
