Martha Mae Mulhern, 75, of McArthur, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at her residence. She was born April 23, 1941 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Clyde and Mabel Andrews West.
Mae was a member of the McArthur Eagles AERIE #2279 and was an avid Vinton County Viking sports fan. For 20 years, she was a member of the Vinton County Wild Turkey Festival Committee and while her children we growing up, she was very involved with Vinton County 4-H and the Junior Fair Board.
Mae is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Dale) Cline and Lisa (Doug) Gilliland, both of McArthur; sons, Harold (Nancy) Mulhern of Radcliff and Scott (Tara) Gilliland of Waverly; six grandchildren, Andrew, Anthony, Alexis, Addison, Jonah and Whitney; two great grandchildren, Hunter and Westin; brothers, Aaron West of Zaleski, Tom (Marilyn) West of Zaleski and Charlie (Dolly) West of Creola; her companion, Jim Gilliland and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill and Art West.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. where an Eagles service will be held at 7 p.m.
