Martha Louise Burgess Norris

Martha Louise Burgess Norris, 84, of Logan, formerly of Gore, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Logan Health Care Center.  She was born April 28, 1933 in Falls Township, Ohio, daughter of the late David E. and Goldie Lambert Burgess.  On February 26, 1941, Martha married Stanley E. Norris, who passed away July 22, 1980.

She was formerly employed by Hocking Valley Community Hospital and was a member of the New Straitsville Baptist Church.

Martha is survived by her son, Randy L. (Sandra) Norris of Johnson City, Tennessee; daughter, Vicky L. (Greg) Peppers of Logan; grandchildren, Kristopher Cutlip, Erin (Andy) Neuberger and Kyle Peppers and great grandchildren, Dylan, Adeline and Kendrick.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard E., Paul A. and Warren R. Burgess and sisters, Louelle Reid and Roberta Steele.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor Betty Brooks officiating.  Interment will be in Gore Cemetery, Hocking County.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m.
