Mary Louise Brown

Mary Louise Brown, 91, of McArthur, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Maple Hills Nursing Home in McArthur. She was born on July 1, 1933, in Allensville, the daughter of the late Elza Jacob and Flossie Beatrice (Peck) Barney. She was the widow of the late Harold Oscar Peoples and Charley Foster Brown Sr.

Mary is survived by her children, Shirley (Dan) Shifflet of Lancaster, John (Melody) Peoples of McArthur, and Dlorah (Joe) Huntley of New Plymouth; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; step son, Chuck Brown of McArthur; step daughter, Toni (Carl) Williams of McArthur; son-in-law, Larry Hoffmaster of Columbus; and step daughter-in-law, Barbara Brown of Albany.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Harold and Charley; daughter, Charlotte Hoffmaster; step son, Joe Brown; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jerry Griffith Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Bell Cemetery, Allensville. Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
