Mary Spino Buhl, 91, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. She was born July 9, 1930, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Michael A. and Catherine A. Marino Spino Sr.
She was a former nurse’s aide and a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Zaleski. Mary started the Vinton County AIDS Task Force, served the community by working the election polls and was also part of various other organizations in Vinton County.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Victoria (William) Beckley of McArthur; grandsons, Burke (Melissa) Beckley of Arlington, Virginia and Calvin (Emily) Beckley of Westerville; great grandchildren, Lennon Ellis Beckley and Avett Joseph Beckley; sister, Rose Falo of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Bea Buhl of Irwin, Pennsylvania; nephews, Dr. Louis (Hilary), William, Jimmy and Ricki and niece, Suzanne (Dr. Kyle).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Buhl; daughter, Catherine Buhl; brother, Michael Spino Jr.; sister, Pearl Mench and her former husband, Leland Leroy Buhl.
A memorial mass will be held 11 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2022, at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 119 N. Second St., Zaleski, with Father Thomas Herge officiating. Private burial will be in St. Sylvester Catholic Church Cemetery in Zaleski.
Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
