Mary Louise Thompson

Mary Louise Thompson, 78, of Ray, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at her residence.  She was born January 29, 1944, in Jackson, Ohio, daughter of the late Lewis and Ruth Sanny Speakman.  Mary was the widow of the late Dale Vernon Thompson.

She never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her son, Vernon Dale Thompson of Ray; daughters, Julie (Michael) Masters of Chillicothe and Jeannie Thompson of Chillicothe; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brothers, Ped (Jeannie) Speakman of Wellston and Charles “Buck” (Debbie) Speakman of Wellston; sisters, Carol (Charles) Puckett of Chillicothe, Sara (Bernie) Zbikowski of Toledo and Patty (Ken) Paffrath of California and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ross and sister Kathy Lamb.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2022, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor Tim Wyman officiating.  Interment will be in Bell Cemetery, Vinton County.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
