Mary C. King Zellner, 97, of Chillicothe, formerly of Bloomville and Tiffin, passed away, Saturday, December 26, 2020, at National Church Residences in Chillicothe where she had resided for the past 3 ½ years. She was born August 1, 1923 in Melmore, OH, the daughter of the late Vernon J. and Anita Angene King. She was a 1941 graduate of Attica High School.
She was a clerk and produce manager at Pagnard’s Groceries in Bloomville for 33 years. On November 7, 1942, she married Robert Zellner who preceded her in death on October 23, 1992.
She was a 70-year member of the Bloomville United Church of Christ, member of Cornelia Chapter #93 OES, and member of Caufield Post #434 American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her children, Ann (William) Garrett of McArthur, Robert “Bob” (Linda) Zellner of Hot Springs Village, AR, and Janet (Thomas) Gibson of Henderson, NV; 5 grandchildren, Tom Gibson, Ken Gibson, Amy Garrett, Alison Campbell, Megan Kosaka; 10 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kelsey, Ashley, Kayla, Wesley, Ava, Ben, Sierra, Lindsay, and Kenneth; in-laws, James Zellner of Tiffin and Diane Zellner of Bloomville, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Richard, Raymond, Charles, Kenneth, Vernon, Jr., and Lewis King; sisters Evelyn Nagel and Helen King.
Public Graveside Services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 31, 2020. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Tom Kagy officiating.
