Merle Martin Dearing

Merle Martin Dearing, 74, of Logan, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in The Plains.  He was born February 5, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Walter and Alice Martin Dearing.  Merle was the widow of the late Patricia Doseck Dearing.

He retired from the former Metal Powder Company in Logan and was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Merle is survived by his daughter, Tracie Dearing of Logan; brother, Bruce (Ginny) Dearing; niece, Laura McAnallen and nephew, Brett Dearing.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Dearing; brother, Walter “Snap” Dearing and sister, Elizabeth Dearing.

No services will be held. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hocking County Board of Developmental Disabilities, 1369 E. Front St., Logan, Ohio 43138.
