Michael “Mike” Lee McFadden, 48, of McArthur, OH, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on September 10, 2022.
He was born just 4 minutes before his twin sister Kelly, on September 11, 1973, in Chillicothe, OH. Mike, as he was called by those who knew him, graduated from Huntington High School, class of 1994.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, David and Ollie Archey, paternal grandfather, William McFadden and sister-in-law, Sheree McFadden.
Following him in death just hours after his passing, his grandmother-in-law Corlene “Corene” (Osborne) Cluff of McArthur, OH.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kindra (Barney) McFadden. Two daughters Breanna (Zach) Mace and Mika McFadden of McArthur, OH. He was the son of Randy McFadden of Ray, OH, and Mary (Dennis) Merkwan of Wagner, SD. and Dave Benson of Londonderry, OH. Two brothers, Eric McFadden of McArthur, OH, and Josh McFadden of Richmond Dale, OH, twin sister Kelly (Howie) Duarte of Chillicothe, OH, and sister Megan Merkwan of Wagner, SD. Grandson to Grace McFadden of Wellston, OH. He was the son-in-law to Michael “Mike” and Mary Jo (Betts) Barney, brother-in-law to Michael (Tiffany) Barney and sister-in-law Amy Bethel. Four nephews, Tyler, Travis, Chris, and Layne. Four nieces, Danielle, Alexandrea, Megan, and Carlie. He also had two special boys that called him Pawpaw, Mack and Ryker. He had 8 great nephews and nieces. Along with other special family and friends.
Mike had a big heart and would do anything for anyone. He was a jokester and loved his family. He served on the Vinton County Fair Board for several years. He was a handyman and would work on anything until the job was completed right. He was a people person, and never knew a stranger. Mike was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Bengals and loved watching football on the weekends.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, September 16, 2022, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Ed Barney officiating. Interment will be in Londonderry Cemetery, Londonderry. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
