Nancy Mae Waldron, 78, of McArthur, Ohio passed away, Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Jenkins Care Center in Wellston, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born September 19, 1941 in McArthur, daughter of the late Charles and Bertha Townsend McKnight. She was the widow of the late Charles Waldron.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana W. (Mike) Eberts; grandchildren, Michael Eberts, Kyle (Laura) Eberts, step son Roy Waldron, and step grandchildren, Kevin (Angie) Waldron, Ron (Cindy) Sark, Brad Sark, Phillip Richards, Rodney Waldron and Ryan Waldron; in addition to several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and her brother, Larry (Carol) McKnight, all whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by stepdaughters, Bonnie Sark and Rose Clendening.
Nancy was loved by all whom knew her. Always with a smile on her face, a heart of gold, a song to sing as she loved music, and a prayer warrior within the community. Throughout her life she was involved with numerous community organizations, and believed in making a difference in the world through prayer and kindness to others. Nancy and her late husband, Charles Waldron, traveled to various parts of the world and always missioned to churches in various different countries during their travels. She was a long time member of the McArthur Church of the Nazarene and retired from Waldron Lumber Company in McArthur.
Family and friends may call Monday, January 27, 2020 from 5-8 PM at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the Wellston Church of the Nazarene, 39834 OH-93, Wellston, OH 45692 with Pastor Bill Roth and Pastor Jim Fee officiating. Family and friends may call at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at the church prior to services. Interment will be at Elk Cemetery, McArthur.
Family and friends are invited to join the family after the services, to gather for a light meal and refreshments at the Wellston Church of the Nazarene.
The family suggests contributions in memory of Nancy M. Waldron be made to Mt. Vernon Nazarene University, University Relations, 800 Martinsburg Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050 or the American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, Iowa 50037-0839.
