Olan “Turtle” Clyde Wilt, 81, of Londonderry, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born August 23, 1939, in Vinton County, Ohio, son of the late Samuel and Bernice Vickers Wilt. Turtle was with his life partner for 36 years, Pam Truman, who survives.
He was a retired truck driver from Seitz Trucking, a former Eagle Township Trustee and a Vietnam War Veteran of the United States Army.
Turtle is survived by his daughters, Stephanie (Marlo) Blazer of Columbus, Teresa (Gary) Killebrew of Bidwell, Toni (Charlie Kerns) Massie of Ray, Leona (Tom) Becht of Petroleum, West Virginia and Shelly (Scott Baxter) Truman of Ray; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Larry Don Wilt of Londonderry; sister, Jane Robison of Londonderry and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Dedra Nichole Massie and brothers, Samuel Wilt Jr., Paul Eugene Wilt and Robert Wilt.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2021, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Officiant James Satory officiating. Interment will be in Bell Cemetery, Vinton County, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
