Patrick Richard Opatik

Patrick Richard Opatik, 49, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.  He was born July 15, 1972, in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; son of Florence Ann Swanson Bass.

Patrick had a wonderful life and enjoyed the little pleasures. He was a kind and friendly person who never met a person he didn’t like. Everyone was a friend, especially if Chinese food and Hello Kitty were involved. He loved to watch pink sunsets with his mother. He loved to dance and sing with others. You would have to keep an eye out when Patrick was around because he was a true prankster and would get you when you least expect it. He loved to color pictures and write letters to give to his friends and loved ones. Patrick and his brother Booker were like two peas in a pod and enjoyed sharing precious time together. He was truly spoiled by his sisters, Lori, Heather, and Lisa who would give him whatever his heart desired. We will keep him in our hearts and souls and cherish his memories and love forever, to the moon and back.

In addition to his mother, Patrick is survived by his sisters, Lori Crist of Rochester, Washington, Heather (Raymond Dicken) Jackson of Athens and Lisa (Sean (our family rock)) McIntyre of Oak Hill; brother, Booker T. Bass IV (Chelsea Truman) of McArthur and several nieces and nephews.

No services will be held at this time.  Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
