Pauline Bush

October 26, 1939 — November 14, 2024

Logan

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Pauline Bush, age 85, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at the Pickering House in Lancaster, OH.

Born October 26, 1939, in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Beltzer Kelley and Letha Graham (stepfather Ernest Graham).

Pauline worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse most of her life, retiring from Logan Health Care. She was an excellent nurse and deeply devoted to her patients, earning a special medal for her outstanding work. Pauline was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, but everyone knew her as “Granny” and a wonderful Granny she was. She was a big kid at heart and enjoyed quilting, playing cards, playing Nintendo, playing the piano with grandkids, and playing solitaire on her laptop, earning the title of highest scorer.

Granny made the best homemade noodles and taught everyone how to make them. Her absolute favorite holiday was Christmas and would wake all the kids up early to let them know Santa came to visit.

Before her mobility declined you would find Granny playing basketball, jumping on the trampoline, dancing, and spending countless hours on the porch singing and entertaining the family.

Granny was loved by so many and she didn’t know a stranger. Her wisdom, love, compassion, and spunk will be missed by us all. Most of all we will miss her teachings about Jesus and singing gospel songs. Granny taught us to have faith and Granny would always let us know “The Lord Will Always Provide”.

Granny is survived by her daughters, Teresa (Ira) Howard of Logan, Debora (Jim) Anderson of Logan, and Tina Griffin of Logan; sons, Jefferson Dean (Shirley) Bush of Campbellsville, Kentucky and James Douglas (Amanda) Bush of Lancaster; grandchildren, Joshua Bush, Daniel Bush, Julie Daubenmire, Jamie Proctor, Jeremy Howard, Johnathon Bush, Jennifer Rife, Jessica Griffin, and Justin Anderson; many, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Granny was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred Dean Bush; son, Edwin Lee Bush; son-in-law, Jimmy Griffin; sisters, Donna Bell and Norma Jean McQuaide; brothers, Wayne Tedder and Edwin Kelley; and nephews, Jason West and John McQuaide.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor Mark Barrell officiating. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan. Family and friends may visit from 5 to 7 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
