Peggy J. Long

August 12, 1937 — December 21, 2018

Peggy J. Long, 81, of Logan, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan.  She was born August 12, 1937 in Flora, Illinois, daughter of the late Harold and Ina Withrow Wilburn.  Peggy was the widow the late Dan Long.

She retired from the Logan Hocking School System and was a member of Freedom Memorial Church in Logan.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Dan Wayne (Theresa) Long of Logan and Bradley Dwayne Long of Idaho; daughter, Kimberly Jill (Tim) Ellis of Rockbridge and Barbara Ann Dickerson of Lancaster; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Wilburn.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.  Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge.  Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
