Philip L. Joseph, 63, of Logan, passed away Monday May 7, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 14, 1955 in Nassau County, New York, son of the late Philip Stewart and Mildred Ritz Joseph. He was with his partner for more than 30 years, the late Catherine M. Murphy. She was his dear companion and love of his life.
He worked in Cleaning Services at Hocking Valley Industries. He also worked at the PERCO Sheltered Workshop from October 1984 until he moved to a group home sponsored by Buckeye Community Services. While living in this group home, he met his partner, Catherine. He was involved in Special Olympics, active member at Hocking Hills United Methodist Church, and he loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and Bowling.
Philip is survived by a brother, Stewart Joseph of Marquette, MI; and loving caregiver, Tammy Hamilton of Logan.
Along with his parents and Catherine Murphy, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Delaney.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday May 10, 2018 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Philip L. Joseph to Hocking Hills UMC, 60 E. Hunter St., Logan, Ohio 43138 or FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
