Randall "Randy" Eugene Hampton

Randall Eugene “Randy” Hampton, 74, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster.  He was born November 9, 1943 in Hamden, Ohio, son of the late Noah C. and Iva Jean Gose Hampton.  Randy was married to Rosemary Bunthoff Hampton, who survives.

He retired from Selkirk Metalbestos after 33 years of service where he was a group leader.  Randy was a member of the Logan Eagles and Logan Moose Lodge.  He loved the Cleveland Browns, The Ohio State Buckeyes, working on cars, shooting pool, watching boxing and was always willing to help others.

Randy is survived by his son, William Dean (Mindi) Hampton of New Straitsville; daughter, Julie Lynn (Lee) Radcliffe of Logan; grandchildren, Dustin Allan Hampton, Benjamin Hampton, Dustin Harden, Joshua Tyler (Daniel) Maynard, Mathew Elliott Maynard, Kacie Michelle (Levi) Sayre and Larry David Howdyshell Jr.; four great grandchildren; brother, Russell (Tressa) Hampton of Albion, Michigan; half brothers, Walter and Rosco Hampton; sisters, Linda (Tom) Gehrken of Banning, California and Phyllis (Chuck) Burchfield of Nelsonville; half sister, Joyce Boyer of Logan; his dog, Scooter and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Lynn Hampton; sister, Betty Donahue and half sister, Rotha Hampton.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor Steve Hubbard officiating.  Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., where an Eagles service will be held at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
