Rexford C. Myers

Rexford C. Myers, 85, of Rockbridge, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster.  He was born September 12, 1935, in Glouster, Ohio, son of the late Harry E. and Bertine Chadwell Myers.  Rex was married to the late Carole I. Wisecup Myers.

He retired from Hexcel Corporation in Lancaster and was a United States Army Veteran.  Rex was a member of the Hocking Hills Church of Christ and was the retired Assistant Fire Chief at the Good Hope Fire Department.  He supported his local church, Veterans, first responders and loved animals.

Rex is survived by his sons, Chad Myers of Rockbridge, Tad Myers of Rockbridge, Brad (Janet) Myers of Logan and Thad (Sherri) Myers of Logan, grandchildren, Caitlyn, Ryan and Kinsey Myers and a brother, Richard Myers of Newark.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Jay Myers; daughter, Inez Christine Myers; sisters, Bartha Addington, Martha Harry and Margaret Humphrey and brothers, Harry, and Robert Myers.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, June 4, 2021, at the Hocking Hills Church of Christ, 28290 Chieftain Drive, Logan, with Kelly Zirkle officiating.  Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster.  Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Friday, one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
