Richard E. Kanable, 94, of Logan, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Embassy of Logan. He was born on August 13, 1929, in Morrow County, Ohio, the son of the late Ernest Howard and Mary (Strawn) Kanable. Dick was married to the late Helen Marie Smith Kanable.

Dick was a graduate of Cardington High School.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Dick drove a bread truck in his youth and then spent most of his working years as a roofer.  He also worked for Tecumseh Products for 17 years.  He enjoyed reading, taking his dogs for walks, and playing Euchre.  Dick loved and appreciated all the caring folks at Embassy of Logan.

Dick is survived by his sister, Martha Ann Kanable Debolt of Columbia, Mississippi, and several nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Daniel Ray Kanable and David Phillip Kanable; and half-brother, Henry Buell Miller.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, 8029 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068, with Rev. Charles Fidler officiating.  Arrangements are through the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
