Rita Anne Robinette

Rita Anne Robinette, 83, of Nelsonville, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born September 11, 1940, in Lancaster, the daughter of the late George and Onie (Buchanan) Kidder.

Rita retired from SEPTA Correctional Facility, Nelsonville, with 22 years of service. She worked as a cook, corrections officer, and then in the office. She was also a member of several civic organizations in town.

Rita is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, John Stalling Jr.; sons, Robert (Mary) Robinette Jr. of New Marshfield, Theodore (Carol) Robinette of McConnelsville, Mark (Rebecca) Robinette of The Plains, and Darren (Tish) Robinette of Carpenter; daughters, Linda Secoy of Stewart, Tina (Ronald) Stalling of Logan, and Tami (Mark) Werry of Pomeroy; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; brother, Carl Kidder; and sister, Lorene Touchtone.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Arrangements are by the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville.
