Robert E. Thompson

Robert E. Thompson, 80, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark.  He was born February 19, 1942, in Blacklick, Ohio, son of the late Jonah Clyde and Thelma Collins Thompson.

He was a retired cab driver in Logan who enjoyed everything outdoors including fishing, gardening and woodworking.

Robert is survived by his best friend and companion of 50 years, Sherry Hutchison; son, Greg Thompson; daughters, Vicky Thompson and Roberta Thompson; several grandchildren and brothers, Clarence Thompson and Jim Thompson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Thompson.

A private graveside service will be held in Smith Chapel Cemetery, Logan.

Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
