Robert J. Williams

Robert J. Williams, 83, of Logan, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at Logan Health Care Center in Logan.  He was born March 9, 1934 in New Straitsville, Ohio, son of the late Evan and Evelyn Williams.  Robert was married to the late Mary Sue Poling Williams.

He retired from Selkirk Metalbestos in Logan and was a former Hocking County Deputy Sheriff.  Robert was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Robert is survived by his sons, Kenneth E. (Tseku) Williams of Jennings, Louisiana and Danny (Kristi) Williams of Logan; daughters, Rhonda (Josh) Dean of Logan and Melanie Bradford of Logan; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert J. Williams Jr.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 6935 Twp. Rd. 234, Logan, Ohio 43138, with Pastor Steve Hubbard officiating.  Interment will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery, Hocking County.  Friends may call at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, 6935 Twp. Rd. 234, Logan, on Wednesday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Robert J. Williams to Ebenezer Baptist Church, 6935 Twp. Rd. 234, Logan, Ohio 43138.
