Rodney Hamilton, 61, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born March 28, 1957 in Pikeville, Kentucky, son of the late Gary and Emogene McKinney Hamilton. Rodney was married nearly 40 years to Patricia Barnett Hamilton, who survives.
He was a supervisory for G4S Security in Meigs County, was a member of his Home Family Church, was involved in law enforcement for 23 years and owned and operated Hamilton House Movers.
Rodney is survived by his sons, Jarrod (Skya) Hamilton, Jacob (Erica) Hamilton, Heath (Brandi) Hamilton and Drake Hamilton, all of McArthur; daughters, Onnesty (Matt) Kight of McArthur, Autumn (Chad) Holobaugh of McArthur; Brooke Hamilton of Hamden, Trishanna (Eric) Newman of McArthur; Tavy (JD) Rose of Hamden and Madison Hamilton of McArthur; thirty-three grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie, Alex and Larry; sisters, Christine, Caroline, Wanda, Betty Sue, Debbie, Crystal and Patty and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Travis Hamilton and brothers, Gary Hamilton Jr. and Randy Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in the Hamilton Home Church, 34815 Martindill Rd., McArthur, with Pastor James Eberts officiating. Interment will be in the Hamilton Family Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the Hamilton Home Church on Monday, from 4-8 p.m.
