Roger Dale Barber

Roger Dale Barber, 68, of Albany, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Roger was born April 30, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late John Ward and Betty Ruth (Wiley) Barber.

Roger loved his family, especially spending time with his kids. He enjoyed shooting guns and proudly riding his 1959 Harley-Davidson Panhead.

Roger is survived by his son, Roger Barber Jr. of Albany; daughters, Jessica Barber of Albany, Rachel (David Thacker) Barber-Thacker of Hillsboro and Jennifer Smith Brooks of Greenfield; grandchildren, Olivia Barber, Jlynne Barber, Elijah Thacker, Faden Brooks, John Brooks, and Shelby Brooks; significant other, Linda Smith of Latham; sister, Darlene (Paul Morris) Barber-Morris of Carlisle; nephew, John Barber; niece, Ruthie Barber-Heidenreich; and special friends, Glen Guffey and Robert Waselewski.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Barber; and brother Greg Barber.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Harkins Chapel Cemetery, Albany. Arrangements are through the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
