Ronald Keith Stotts

Ronald Keith Stotts, 63, of The Plains, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the residence of his fiancé in Athens. He was born February 1, 1954, in Athens, Ohio, son of the late Grover Cleveland and Delores Jane Katzenbach Stotts. He was engaged to his companion and dear friend, Patricia Noland of Athens who survives.

He was a retired inspector for ODOT, and worked there for over 23 years; and formerly worked for Coffman Stair Co, in Logan. He was a member of AFSME, Council #8 in The Plains; VFW, #7174, The Plains; AMVETS, Chauncey; Elks Lodge, Athens; Am Legion, #21, Athens. He was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by family and friends.

In addition to his fiancé, he is survived by his step-son Dwayne (Jacqueline) Darnell of Bardstown, KY; step-granddaughter, Alyssa Miller of Washington, LA; step-grandsons, Cade Miller of Washington, LA and Nathan Darnell of Bardstown, KY; sisters, Deborah Stotts and Delores (Donald) Douglas both of The Plains; nieces, Ashley and Carissa Forsyth; special friends, Gerald Lea Stotts, Bob Dowler, Jimmy Blair, Jim Niggemeyer and Tara Peck; beloved pets, “Precious” and “Tid Bit”.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with his uncle, Pastor Owen Stotts officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of service, at the funeral home.
