Roxann Ginger Brown, 61, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, at her residence. She was born June 22, 1960, in Akron, Ohio, daughter of Maragene Ekey Chesser of Chillicothe and the late Bruce Chesser. Roxann was married to Charley Foster Brown Jr., who survives.
She was a former 4-H advisor, a former foster parent, Sunday school teacher and youth teacher. Roxann currently attended Grace Baptist Fellowship Church in Wellston and formerly served at Truth Church in Hamden, where she was highly active in many church activities.
She is survived by her sons, Cyrus (Megan) Carr of McArthur, Clinton (Amanda) Carr of Hamden and Charley (Stephanie) Brown of Jackson; daughters, Ashley (John) Hall of Wellston, Vanessa (Barry) Brisker of McArthur, Kindria Brown of McArthur, Jacquline Brown of Talbott, Tennessee and Toccara Brown of McArthur; together with her husband, she was blessed with twenty-three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a brother, Bruce Chesser Jr.; sisters, Pearl Remy, Maragene Ankrom, Karla Specks and Christina Ray and numerous foster children that were close to her heart.
In addition to her father, Roxann was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Brown.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, July 12, 2021, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor James Eberts and Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Interment will be in Wyckoff Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
