Roy Louis Graves

Roy Louis Graves, 77, of Laurelville, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Holzer Meigs Emergency Department in Pomeroy.  He was born June 14, 1940 in Chillicothe, son of the late Chauncey and Genola Burt Graves.  Roy was married to Connie McNichols Graves, who survives.

He retired as a surveyor from the State of Ohio and was a member of Pleasant Valley Trinity Church in Londonderry.

Roy is survived by his sons, Butch (Pamela) Graves of Londonderry, Brian (Mary) Graves of Circleville and Jason Roy Graves of Wellston; stepsons, Steven (Krista) Poling of Laurelville and Marty Poling of Laurelville; stepdaughter, Kendall (Todd) Purdy of Kentucky; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother, Phillip Graves of Allensville and a sister, Judith Patterson of Allensville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Graves and sisters, Rosetta Horst, Valeta Dolph and Patty Hiles.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.  Interment will be in Lebanon Cemetery, Vinton County.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 6-8 p.m.
