Ruby Ruth Vance, 95 years old, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 surrounded by her family. Ruby was born March 18, 1923 to James and Mary Carder Andy in Zaleski, Ohio. She was married to the late Sherman Vance. They had a daughter, Brenda Louise.
Ruby loved to work in her flower gardens – she had a green thumb. Over they years she babysat many children, hosted several exchange students and taught Sunday School for over 40 years. Ruby loved spending time with her family and was a member of the Faith Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Woody) Frasure of Logan; three grandchildren, Jill (Earnie) Perry, Woody (Darla) Frasure Jr., both of Logan and Janie (David) Myers of Pickerington; seven great grandchildren, Autumn, Lauren, Woody Lee, Christopher, Ashley, Sydney and Logan; four great great grandchildren, Blake, Sophia, Macee and Everly; sisters, Alice Ferguson of New Boston, Michigan and Retha Burrington of Cincinnati; brother, Earl Andy of Springfield and several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Cassie McCune, Ernie Andy, Harry Andy, Harold Andy, James Carder, Hazel Any and Goldie Andy and a family friend, Ana Shepherd.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Ervin Andy officiating. Interment will be in Keaton Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home on Monday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
