Ruth Louise Arnett, 94, of Upper Arlington, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Amber Park Assisted Living in Pickerington. She was born October 5, 1923 in McArthur, daughter of the late Paul Ray and Nellie Edwards Arnett.
She was a 1941 graduate of McArthur High School and attended Bliss Business College. She worked 15 years for the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and 32 years for the law firm of Thompson, Meier and Dersom. Ruth was a member of the Broad Street Presbyterian Church in Columbus. She enjoyed playing Bridge, the theater and traveling.
She is survived by a sister, Eleanor Snavely of Tiffin; brothers, Paul (Shirley) Arnett of Bellevue, Washington, Charles Arnett of Pickerington and David (Ruth) Arnett of Huntsville, Alabama as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ada Jean Painter.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., with Pastor Gayle Graham officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Ruth’s wishes were for family and friends to make a donation in her name to a charity that is special to them.
