Ryan A. Lathey, 39, of McArthur, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021, at his residence. He was born April 28, 1981, in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of Cheryl White Matheny, of Wilkesville and the late Roger R. Lathey.
Ryan worked at Kenworth Trucking in Chillicothe, was a member of Delta Masonic Lodge #207 F&AM in McArthur and was a member of SAL of Wilkesville. Ryan was a jack of all trades kind of guy who enjoyed the outdoors, riding his side by side, drag racing, collecting guns, working in his garage, his Ford Mustang, spending time with his friends and his dog, Wilson.
He is survived by his brother, Larry (Carley) Cundiff of Gallipolis Ferry, Ohio; sister, Mary (Derek) Gribble of McArthur; nieces, Mallory Bledsoe and Calli Kerwood; nephew, Jack Kerwood; maternal grandmother, Bonnie White of Wilkesville; stepmother, Kathy Lathey of Wellston and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Mary Lathey and Ralph White Sr.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, February 12, 2021, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Pattonsville Cemetery, Jackson. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. where a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Ryan Lathey to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
