Sarah I. Buskirk

Sarah I. Buskirk passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Heartland Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Sarah was born on August 12, 1936 to Clifford E. Ray and Oma P. (Long) Ray, in G lenroy, Ohio.

On February 9, 1957, Sara married the love of her life, David L. Buskirk.  They were married 60 years and brought two children into their lives; Tim (Ann) of Carmel, Indiana and Melinda (Jay) Sheets of Chillicothe.  Sara and Dave immensely doted on their three grandchildren:  Samantha Sheets, Jack and Ruthie Buskirk.

Surviving Sarah is her sister, Opal P. Graves, Columbus, OH, brother in law Dick Remy of Allensville, OH, and sister in law Alice Thompson of Ray, OH. In addition Sara had numerous nieces and nephews.

Proceeding Sara in death are her parents, an infant sister Shirley Ray, a sister Dorothy Remy, brothers in law Junior Graves, Don Buskirk and Clifford Thompson and sister in law Barbara Buskirk.

Sarah cherished time with her family and friend.   She enjoyed cooking and baking and was a tremendous hostess.  She was an avid reader and accomplished seamstress.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in the Garrrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim McFadden officiating.  Interment will be in Londonderry Cemetery, Londonderry.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 4-7 p.m.
