Scott Nathan Bazell

Scott Nathan Bazell, 40, of Carroll, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. He was born May 13, 1977 in Lancaster, Ohio to his father, Joseph Michael (Janet) Bazell of Rockbridge and mother, Deborah Dietz Bazell of Logan. He was married to Mary Meshell Cone Bazell, who survives, for almost eleven years.

He was a former member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Logan. He was greatly loved by his family and will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his step-son William “Will” (Ashley) Poe of Xenia; grandchildren, Sean, Leighann, Jaxson and Delaine; brothers, Brian (Shawntel) Bazell of Lancaster and Evan (Jessica) Bazell of Logan; sisters, Tisha (Benjamin) Ogg of Logan, Joi Bazell of Columbus and Jennifer (Johnathan) Yanko of Logan; many nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ed and Joanne Dietz, and paternal grandparents, Joe and Bessie Bazell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 17, 2018 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Gerald Frazee and Pastor Mark Barrell officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge. Friends may visit Friday February 16, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
